388590_waterman_ball_penIn the world of today, information is almost unlimited. It’s difficult to ever really run out of something to say, especially since for every sentence written, there’s six other ways to say it. So if you think you’re out of ideas to update your blog, think again: there is a ton of information for you to still write about and share with your audience. The good news is that it’s valuable information too, and will be appreciated.

Do a “Sum-Up” Post

Just because you posted a blog last year doesn’t mean that the information isn’t valuable today. In fact, it might be even more valuable because of a particular situation at hand (“how to save money” might be more valuable now that the economy isn’t recovering). When you’re out of ideas, feel free to relive the memories of older posts. These might be the posts that had the most comments, or ones that a ton of people read. If you choose to do a post like this, make sure you add a couple of extra lines of commentary before you link to the post. In some cases, a description or explanation may also be useful to your new readers.

Use Batman to Your Advantage

Did the word ‘Batman’ want to make you read this tip? If it did, that’s because you recognized the name, and don’t think it belongs in a business post.  Use this to your advantage! Just because Batman doesn’t know anything about business (and really, he does) doesn’t mean that a business person can’t learn anything from him. Use name recognition to teach your audience unique tips from a unique character. You can even use famous TV shows, book titles, and singers to get your point across.
